Stockport Star Awards 2017
Plane Tree Court was privileged to attend the first of Stockport Star Award evening’s last Thursday 2nd February.
It was launched by Stockport Together, who were established to recognise the best staff and leaders working in the local care home and home care sectors.
The finalists all celebrated a wonderful evening, as they assembled together to share in the individual successes of those who have merited recognition by their peers, health and social care professionals and families, of individuals who use these specialised services.
The awards were in 10 categories and recognised the

The nomination period ran from 31St October – 30th November and we were informed in earlyJanuary that we had been shortlisted for three of those categories.

From the day we heard about our nominations staff were extremely proud and honoured to be part of one of the first of these events hosted by Stockport Together.
One staff member said “I have worked for the company for 26 years and I am extremely proud to be part of this, it is also very gratifying after all these years in service to be recognised by external bodies for our handwork and dedication, it means a lot to me “

Anita Rolfe, Executive Nurse at NHS Stockport CCG
The evening was spectacular from the table presentations to a three course meal, the décor and friendly ambience.
We waited anticipating the announcement of the result’s, also just proud and privileged to be part of the evening. When they announced our company names as winners of The People Choice Award, the whole staff team erupted with joy and were so pleased and delighted to receive the award, they also couldn’t wait to get into work the following day to celebrate with their colleagues who were not able to attend the evening.
Another staff who has been with company for 15 years said” how wonderful, it was a fantastic award to receive especially because it was from a resident’s family, it means so much more”
In recognition of all the hard work and efforts Plane Tree Court are holding a Day to Celebrate with staff, families, residents, health and social care professionals and anyone who has supported us on this successful journey with their dedication, hard work and commitment whilst also helping to raise the profile of the care sector as a whole.
